We're building the autonomous aerial systems that will redefine public safety and emergency response.
Our Mission
Hummingbird Technologies exists to give law enforcement, fire departments, and emergency services access to persistent, intelligent aerial coverage — capabilities that until now have been impossible or prohibitively expensive. We believe that autonomous drone swarm technology can fundamentally transform how communities are protected and how lives are saved.
Why This Matters
Today, when a public safety agency needs aerial coverage, the options are limited. A single drone with a single operator — constrained by battery life, weather, and line-of-sight regulations. Or a helicopter at thousands of dollars per hour, unavailable for most departments.
There is no system today that can provide persistent, autonomous aerial coverage from a mobile platform. No system that deploys a coordinated swarm of drones with continuous rotation, maintaining uninterrupted presence over an incident scene. No system designed from the ground up for the realities of public safety operations.
Hummingbird Technologies was founded to close that gap. The Hummingbird Nest platform is being engineered to deliver what first responders actually need: rapid deployment, continuous coverage, intelligent automation, and the operational simplicity to be used by existing personnel — not drone specialists.
Our Values
Every design decision, every line of code, and every operational protocol is built around the principle that safety is non-negotiable. Our systems protect the people they serve and the communities they operate in.
We build technology for a purpose. Every capability we develop is measured against real operational needs — not theoretical use cases. If it doesn't make the mission better, it doesn't ship.
Autonomy should augment human decision-making, not replace it. Our platform operates autonomously within defined boundaries, with human operators maintaining oversight and authority at all times.
Public safety technology must work reliably in harsh, unpredictable conditions. We design for the real world — dust, rain, urgency, and imperfect communication. If it can't handle the field, it stays in the lab.
